Borrowing equally from iconic bands like Counting Crows, Talking Heads and Van Morrison, Chapell has created a unique sound that includes fiddle, his trademark cornet and four incredibly soulful backup singers. Chapell mixes some deliciously hummable pop melodies with soul searching lyrics in a way that evokes a younger Jonathan Richman of the Modern Lovers.
